If your OLD fence is faded, mossy, in need of re-staining.
If your NEW fence needs staining.
All wood surfaces (except new, unstained wood) need to be thoroughly cleaned before they are stained. Wood surfaces with previous stains or coatings are evaluated and removed through a low-pressure wash, taking care not to damage the wood fibres. This specialised cleaning process also removes mould and mildew, fungus, dirt and pollution as well as brightens the wood. This process will restore your wood to almost the natural colour. After 24 hours of drying time, the wood is then ready for the coating process.
The coating process involves applying a stain with the properties to give colour and protection. We also guarantee these properties of the stain for 18 months after application, and recommend a 2 year treatment cycle through our Wood Maintenance Programme.
No matter how old a fence or deck is, they can be cleaned and stained giving them many more years of life. Or they can be stained when they are newly built to give them vibrant colour while simultaneously prolonging their life.
Fences - we see them every day, drive by them, pass through them, and some of us even peek over them. (Ok, maybe not the peeking part!) Even though fences are the norm, we don't think about them until it's time to replace or re-coat them. FenceCoaters will professionally clean and restain your fence to a "like new appearance" using environmentally friendly products.
Definitely! Coatings are applied by both spraying and hand brushing it on. We pride ourselves on the amount of time & care we take in preparing your garden and plants before we begin to apply the stain treatment. We can spend more time preparing the house and outdoors for the stain application than it can actually take to apply the coating. We use large tarps to cover bushes and grass that may be exposed. We then cover the immediate area of the house with masking paper, plastic sheets and drop cloths to ensure that when we leave, only the deck or fence is stained, not everything else.
It depends upon how much remedial and preparation work is required prior to coating application, and the type of fence involved. Every fence is individual, and therefore each stain job is individual. Call us today for a free survey and estimate.
